Default Searching for Titan Mk6 Chassis 73685

    Searching for a specific 1973 Titan Mk6c, chassis #73685

Here is what I can tell you:

Car was sold to Tom Christ of Wisconsin in the early 90's. Tom had two Titans at this time, and sold both, he is unsure, but thinks this car may have gone to the Minnesota area.

I would greatly appreciate any and all tips, leads, guesses, ect. pertaining who may have purchased the car from Tom, or better its current whereabouts.

The best way to describe the car as it traveled to Tom, and onto its next owner would probably be "unique". I'm hoping someone might recognize it in the pic.

Thank you all for looking. Please don't hesitate to contact me with any info, or pass this picture onto anyone who has/had or owns a Mk6C

Still searching, and trying to spread the word. Also if anyone has any suggestions on better or alternate places I should search, feel free to send them to me.

    Thanks for looking...

I've had a few leads, but still searching. I'd really like to know if its out there, even if its sitting in someone's rafters as a spare chassis. If there are some Mk6 hoarders out there, check those chassis numbers .

Thanks for looking, still hoping someone will recognize that pic.

Still looking. Have followed a few leads, but the missing link is still who purchased the car from Tom Christ of Wisconsin. Someone bought it, just need the next piece of the puzzle.

Thanks in advance for any info!

Have you contacted Andy Antipas? He maintains the Titan registry.

Thanks for the reply. I have been in contact with Andy. Unfortunately the car is still listed under Tom Christ on the registry, and the new owner had not been in touch with Andy.

    Default Still looking

Still very much interested and committed to locating, or learning what may have happened to this car. I've reached out to a lot of folks, and a few other groups, but it seems I'm at a bit of road block. If anyone has any ideas that would help expand the range of my search don't hesitate to let me know. I certainly don't mind doing the leg work.

Thanks in advance, and appreciate all the help to this point

Its been over a month, so I just wanted to bring this thread back to relevance. I'm still very much looking for this car. Its gotta be out there somewhere.

Titan guys, check your chassis numbers, or if you know any Titan guys, ask them to check their chassis numbers ..

    Thanks for looking...

Inspired by the Carter family Merlyn thread, I figured I'd give this a bump. Still would very much like to find the whereabouts of this car..

    Default mk-6 Titan

Dave, Have you found your Titan? I have a MK-6 BUT it has been converted to a 3 seat training & Pace car and I cannot find a chassis number or dash plate. I will look at any area you suggest for me to help find out if this is your racecar.

Keep digging, Dave. Weird things happen and the interwebs makes the world a very small place.

    Default Still searching...

Added a couple additional photos to the original post, thinking, maybe, just maybe, one of the logbooks could possibly have an older photo in it, and maybe it would trigger someone's memory. There are all the looks this car had while I knew it..

    Thanks for looking..

Since many of the vintage race clubs use 1972 as a cutoff date, there is the possibility that the car you are searching for has been re-branded as a 1972. In that case, a knowing owner would not be so anxious to surface, and the current owner may not even be aware.

    Just a thought.

    Bob,

Thanks for the reply. I considered that might be the case when I started looking. Either way, it would mean a great deal to me to locate the car, so I'll keep digging, and hoping it turns up..

I’m going in the wrong chronological direction but this appears to be the car Jim Lockwood owned in the mid ‘80s.

    Dave,
Might get lucky on a Facebook page. There are quite a few going and I waste, spend a lot of time looking at every FF post. There might be a Titan page too. If not, "Formula Ford Racer" has a wide birth!

    Garey,

Definitely a good idea. Years ago I did post on some of the vintage groups, but I’ll have to better explore this avenue.

    Thanks, Dave
