Matt briefly raced an Adams Aero in the Michigan area in the mid-late-90s.

Rumor is they will be running a Dallara chassis with Ferrari motor and zero roll rear suspension!

    Default Ferrari ?

Ferrari engine ? Why would they choose an engine that has not been capable of running any where near the front of the pack? Oh, I get it. They'll be able to improve the Ferrari engine over and above what Ferrari has not been capable of doing all year plus the development time occurring well prior to this years racing.

I don't know if the rumor has been officially confirmed (I think so..) but I have a feeling the motivation for running a Ferrari power unit might have more to do with cost than competitiveness.. Realistically, Haas won't be winning races anytime soon, so it almost doesn't matter which engine they pick. That said, Ferrari being less than an hour away from the Dallara factory might have something to do with it!

I met Matt personally at a cup race a few years ago. I walked up to him and said that this was a long way from Waterford. He was totally blown away and thrilled that I knew of him from club racing.

I have heard nothing but good stuff about Matt and my bet is that he will do well.

    Good luck Matt.

Gene Haas has a strong relationship with Ferrari for a number of reasons including his machine company and it is this reason that he is developing a customer relatiinship with them. Plus I wouldnt doubt that theybecome a Ferrari junior team li I e torovroso is to red bull and Ferrari pay for one of there development drivers.

I purchased this car back a number of years ago and it became Gomez Adams the FST. Was sold a number of times and more recently to the late Randy Shinn. I guess Matt just purchased the remainer of Gomez and he'll restore it one day to it's original FV condition. This car had finished 5th in the 1995 Runoffs in FV
