    Default 2014 GLC Schedule

The start of the 2014 Great Lakes FC/CFC Challenge is just 3 months away!

    Races 1-2: May 10-11 Gingerman
    Race 3-4: June 28-29 Grattan
    Race 5-6: August 9–10 Waterford
    Race 7-8: August 30-31 Mid-Ohio
    Race 9-10: Sept 27-28 Waterford

Series championship will count the best 8 finishes. Bonus points for fastest class qualifier and fastest race lap.

As in the past, we are hoping for our own run group for the Waterford events, though we’re still awaiting confirmation on this.

One major change to the series this year is that the CFC championship will now be open to all cars up to 1995. So all you guys with yearly-90’s Van Diemens sitting in your garages here's your chance. (Note this ONLY applies to the GLC series. The SCCA Great Lakes Division still defines CFC as 1990 and older. So 1991-1995 cars must still register as FC on official race entries.)

KFP brake pads will be continuing to provide race winner contingencies. (Thanks Keith!)

Carlos and Kim Fanca have offered to cater lunch on Saturday for the events they are attending. Past competitors know that Kim’s lunches are always a real treat.

Still in the works are the group tire purchase and possible additional bennies. Details will follow as they are finalized.

Keith will be handling series registration again, as well as serving as points keeper. We are considering a nominal registration fee this year to cover the cost of series stickers and t-shirts, but details are still being worked out.

Questions can be posted here or directed to Keith Averill (248-585-9139).

    Default Schedule and thanks

We had a good turn out for the meeting. I am surprised that there has been no response from the /90-95 VD guys. You guys are most welcome to come out. A good sociable group.
Thanks for the meeting premises and the pizza too!

I was there ... but remained silent on the issue ... I haven't raced in the GLC therefore no voting rights, but I was glad you guys voted in the old guys with VD ... sounds so wrong ...

    Default GLC 2015 schedule

There are still a couple of possible dates we need to hear back on from those organizations. Steve Myers once again, is putting together all the race date possibilities.
