    Default 80 VD

this car has been gone over fairly thoroughly. just about everything is fresh including motor and gearbox. there are limited spares, noses, coachworks, springs, suspension, 40 gearsets, etc... this is not a fire sale and the price is firm, but variable upon packaging. there is one spare disassembled motor, I may drive it as time permits. call for full details. ric 713-253-3899 or rbaribeault@gmail.com entire package 16.5K, 15K minus spare motor

Larger photos, body off, chassis, cockpit, engine compartment, corners, etc. It's a beautiful car, we need to see it!

car needs a day to or so of button up and do an alignment, and will be done before car leaves but fresh engine, gearbox (cryo'd), shocks, and all the extras make this a very fair deal

that's the way it came. i don't remember seeing fasteners for side panels. we are exploring several options right now and keeping the car is one of them. we've done a lot of work to make this car good, and there's still a little to do. but it certainly is a very good CF as it sits, and i imagine it would be a great vintage car.

grrrr previous owner musta removed them. completely enclosed engine area for better aero. As it sits is basically the stock config which is still top notch.

i love the car and would be very disappointed if i didn't drive it. but i've had it a year and it still isn't finished. i'm seriously entertaining bringing it out west and running the euro series and maybe a few pro events as it seems the pro series may go to treaded tires. there's a few tracks out west i'm itching to run and i could run pro, euro, and vintage on the same tire.

Didn't we REM the entire gearbox as well as Cryo treat it prior to WRD building it ?

Ric, out of curiosity, what are the tubular brackets on the trans. mounting ears for?

My RF78 came with Al. panels to enclose the engine bay that were just Ty-wrapped in place. I never actually ran with them on, I may have to reconsider that.

Mine had lower rear side panels at one point. Mounted with dzus buttons. The tabs are still on the frame. Panels are in the garage attic. I have the red and white "tail".

I owned the car with the aero tail #50, after Dave Jalen had it. I think Mike Bernstein and Dave took an aero rear cover that Porter either made or had and used it in conjunction with the side panels to make the car more aero. There was no diaper on the car. The only drawback was that the aero tail and the cover on the car was heavy. I replaced cover with a lighter aero cover and a smaller lighter chin spoiler. It was quicker, but much more twitchy. These cars can be very competitive with the Crossle 25-45 series cars with the right setup

We'll see what happens after Mike finishes the car. I would love to drive the car at least once before I sell it. Karting starts for me tomorrow and I'm eager to see how the kart does with the fresh motor and rebuild, and how the ribs and shoulder hold up. Also i bought a B-39 I'm going to restore so I'm a bit more distracted than usual.
