Zetec Injectors

So what is the current situation with Zetec injectors?

in the rules it specs the Ford part only

- Fuel injectors may be replaced only with stock Ford injector part#028015587 XS4U-AA

But those don't exist anymore really so what are the options available?

Write your friendly CRB members. The F2KCS Pro Series already realized this and added an aftermarket replacement.

Alternately, you can get the original ones refurbished and tuned, something most of the Pro teams do routinely.

Good to know I assume the Bosch replacement?

Anything else you guys have added rule wise about the Zetec's?

We are about to draft the Zetec rules for our local club and would like to avoid any problems that have already been noticed (Like the injector spec)

There will be more. We are also writing rules addendems to deal with the reality of the Zetec. Aftermarket Pistons, sleeved blocks and more. We're at least a month away. SCCA club is aware.
