Default Toyo Tires F1600 Series on TSN & ESPN Classic Canada

Move Motorsports Management, promoters of the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship, and Fuel MediaLab jointly announced today a media partnership with TSN and ESPN Classic Canada to bring the excitement of Canadian Formula 1600 action to homes across the country.

Three events from the F1600 Super Series were selected for this new broadcast package - the F1600 Duals by Juniper Networks at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park Race 2, the F1600 Duals by Lubrico Warranty at the Honda Indy Toronto Race 1 and the Super Series finale presented by OKI at the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières Race 2.

Lead announcer for the broadcasts will be Dave Bradley, whose voice is synonymous with the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. Joining Bradley and providing race analysis is Kyle Marcelli, former F1600 Champion and professional sportscar racer. Rounding out the team is veteran NASCAR and Indycar announcer Todd Lewis providing insight trackside.

Episode 1 goes to air Tuesday, November 25th at 1:30pm on TSN 5 with re-airs on Wednesday November 26th at 3:00pm on TSN 2 and Thursday, November 27th at 1:30pm TSN 4. All times are ET and are subject to change.

Additional re-airs and the next two episode airdates and times will be announced shortly.

    Very cool to watch.
Nice to see the whole race rather than my isolated perch on the outside of T3.

Funny how many time he had to say "Canadian Tire Motorsport Park"...appreciate the effort.

May I assume the 13" 185 (front) and 205 or 225 (rear)? Those (rear? about the same diameter as the vintage Dunlop and Avon tires, but R888 185 R888 fronts (21") are bit taller than Dunop/Avon. So, clearly setup changes and maybe gearing too.

Given the unavailability currently of AVON and Dunlop vintage FF tire, might be a good alternative.

Yes, 185/60/13 fronts and 205/60/13 rears. The Toyo's are a completely different tire than the Dunlops/Avons, but with some pretty simple set up changes you're good to go. Bolt them on and have a giggle.

If you get a chance to watch the TV shows, or some of the web videos, you'll see that the cars are not horribly out of control, which a lot of naysayers claim. They are different to drive, but it's a good different. Try 'em, you'll like 'em.

IMO, the choice of tire for the series has signifcantly contributed to the increase in competitor numbers.

    Great coverage.

Just need them to add car make to the overlays for standings and drivers etc and it would be perfect.

    Default Forgot this part...

Of course the tremendous efforts of everyone at Move Motorsports makes the series a great place to race as well. The series runs at some pretty cool events, a F1600 double-header on the streets of Toronto with the IndyCar race being one.

Your contact here would be Jason Sharpe.

Not sure what would come up on Google but do know they would appreciate any US interest in the series.
