It looks like there was some attrition in the second race. Is everyone ok and going to be ok for the Runoffs?
Tim and Jeremy came in early so as not to screw the regional points standings. I think everyone came out of it in good shape.
We were warned the track has no grip and it doesn't. I was trying to use a set of new 1600s I had and save the 35s for the runoffs. It was like ice racing. Sunday I went to a soft tire and picked up two seconds. For those who haven't been there, the cork screw is like driving off the roof of a building.

Just curious - Was there something different about the track for this particular weekend, or is it just a low grip track in general? We were warned the track has no grip and it doesn't.
Thanks,
Barry
From what I was told the track was changed several years ago for the Moto GP races and then changed again. Curbs were taken out and replaced with flay rumble strips. Some of the exit strips have negative camber and can suck you off. The pavement is fairly old and the argrigate is polished. In the morning with cloud cover it was better but, in the afternoon sun the grip was much less. Turn eleven had plenty of rubber down but felt like it was coated with Vaseline. There is fog every morning which seems to rise about 8:45.
The gas pumps will be a problem as there are eight hoses in four pumps with only one card reader. My Discover and Master Cards would not work. Only Vise worked for us and it only lets you charge $71.99 at a time and you have to run the card again. At $9.00 gal for 101 no lead you can't fill two jugs without going back to the reader.

Just got an email from Deanna Flanagan. Their bringing in Sunoco fuel and with their own pumps so the gas pumps won't be an issue.
