    Default F600 School Project

Hi, I am new to this forum and I have a few questions for my first f600 build. I am a high school senior and in an engineering class, and we chose to build a f600 for our project. We are building our frame and A arms. My question is where do I buy parts like the rear axle, brakes, wheels tires, etc. and anything else we have to buy and can't just build.

I see you're in Cincy. Contact these guys http://www.bearcatmotorsports.com/contact/
They do something very similar and could help you out with where to find the stuff, but also provide you some ideas about how to go about it.

You will also find helpful information and have access to people who have already built F600s in the F600 section of www.formula500.org.

I think you need a field trip to see Jay Novak or even better go to Road Atlanta for the ARRC at the end of this month.

You definitely need to see F600's up close so that you can measure everything so that it meets the F500/F600 rules in the SCCA's General Comeptition Rules (GCR). Get on the www.formula500.org/forum.php and ask to meet the F5/6 drivers who live nearest to you so that you can see their cars. Since there is more than one make, you will need to see as many different makes in order to see their very diffrerent approaches to each aspect of the chassis. Join their crew and go to races in order to see several makes at one time over a race weekend.

    HTH,
    Jim
