Default Beam Shunt Repair at the Track

The FST Series brings tooling to fix small shunt repair, specifically a (common) bent front beam. Not like we want to have it happen, but Dave Dawson kissed the inside wall at turn 1 this past weekend at Mid-Ohio. In most cases, this would send many packing (home). Our FFDA tool/repair department took on the task and I was fortunate enough to catch the action before it was completed (about 10 minutes).

I have seen this tool in action before. Ingenious! It really is a weekend saver. Smaller and more useful for the “group” than carrying a spare beam. Great stuff!

This device works so well that the tech people thought I put a new beam on. They could not tell the difference.

Thanks to all who helped out.
