    Default iRace v rFactor

I am new to sim racing and I'm looking into a simulator program, What are the differences between iRace and rFactor. I run a CF, do I need to run a car the is also a late 70's FF or can I modify any available open wheel car to simulate my car? I would also prefer a system that has programs for west coast tracks.

    What do you recommend?

    Default iRacing

There are curtainly folk on this board far more qualified to speak on this topic than me. However I prefer iRacing. For me the graphics and accuracy of the tracks are far more precise than RFactor V1. I haven't tried RFactor v2 yet.

I use these simulators to practice the visual references of particular circuits. So accurate track representation is important to me. I use the barber dodge car to practice. Since I use a cheep wheel and sit in my desk chair (with casters...) to drive, vehicle kinematics that resemble my car are the least of my problems.

Also check out Simraceway. I think it's a free download.

    Have fun!
