Default Probably has been asked and answered but help me...

1.) What are the regs for club conti? Same as "normal" Conti?
2.) Is it just a cut off age-separate the old from new cars?

Sure the answer is here-just cannot find it.

As a regional only class, it varies slightly from region/division to region/division around the country. Best be is to check the division websites. Most have the regional only class rules posted.

No CFC in the SouthEast. It was tried a few years back but many that could have run CFC stayed in FC class so as the "experiment" went on over the course of a couple of years eventually lack of entrants in CFC had the SEDiv scuttle it. It was a class based only on year of car if I remember correctly. I think about the only chance to run CFC in the Southeast would be during the ARRC

I think the key question usually centers around do you have inboard or outboard shocks?

actually it was more based on rocker vs rod-actuated shocks.

When we put the VARA rules together we also thought originally that our version of CFC should maybe have no diffuser and the original wide-chord wings. That would probably work in Australia or the UK where those vintage guys are draconian, but here we figured nobody had the old wings and there are few diffuser-less cars, so why turn people away?

    Default CFC rules

In the Great Lakes Division (GLD) of SCCA, 1990 is the year break for CFC. Anything 1991 and newer is FC.
Starting this year for the Great Lakes Championship (GLC) series for Ford powered vehicles (no air cooled S-Vee), run at selected races in the GLD, 1995 is the break year for Club Formula Continental. 1996 and newer is FC.

The DB-6 is the star car pre-1995.

Some 94-94 Citations could be pretty killer also.

The Northeast Division Club Formula Continental rules are on the NEDiv web site

    http://www.nediv.com/club-racing/ned...al-class-rules

It appears to include cars up through 1995 using the FC rules with a couple of weight adjustments. The class is not very active.
