Completed FB last summer and took it to 3 test days at Waterford Hills. Learned as much as we could there and will race the car for the first time May 10th at Gingerman. The most interesting change that I have made to the car are new side floors that enclose the rear lower a-arms. I'm anxious to race it.
The airplane was my project this past winter. The photos pretty much show its construction. The tube frame carries the major loads between the engine, wing, landing gear, and tail assembly. It also protects the pilot to some extent. Wood is the major structural material. However, carbon fiber pultrusions imbedded in the wing spar caps carry the majority of the wing bending loads. I'm anxious to fly it.
