If you haven't watched the fly-over video, be sure to check it out on Thunderhill's home page.
Oh, and the June San Francisco Regional will be run on the long configuration.

Is it public knowledge regarding how the track addition was paid for: From retained earnings or debt?

Mother of sweet Jesus.
Everything. gut check no lift in most anything corners,, acute hairpins, long sweepers
Why are the Runoffs not there instead of Laguna...
What was the aircraft for the video Helicopter??
They're called Powerchutes. Basically a parachute with a seat and engine suspended underneath. You can see the shadow on the ground when the sun is behind it.
Nice track btw.
I think we know where the Runoffs will be next time they come to the West Coast, but in the meantime, SFR needs time to add even more parking to hold the Runoffs. Last week about 300 cars showed up at the Major at TH, and there wasn't room to throw down a hankie without it landing on someone. We need to double that for the Runoffs.

yeah - James and I showed up about 7pm, the gates were scheduled to open at 5 I believe - but openned hours earlier because traffic was lined up on the two lane outside for nearly 1 mile I'm told.
It seemed like the paddock was actually only half-full, but nearly everybody had coned off the spaces next to them for "friends".
There was one team that had a full semi transporter in one slot, a double-wide awning across two more, and another full semi just for hospitality - four 80' long spaces for two cars (there were only 3 cars in their class).
Then there was a massive semi that seemingly had no connection to the team it was parked next to other than acting as a billboard for the sponsor. It was an over-the-road truck, no lift gate.
We ended up on the skidpad, no power, and I had to put a 6" block under the right side so we could get level enough to use the fridge. By Saturday at noon, that area was so packed that some people had to wait for others to leave.
There were teams paddocked in the driveway leading to the front gate all the way back to the highway.
Apparently the entry fees were not a problem.
I was fortunate enough to get there early and found it interesting and frustrating that half the paddock was coned off. What was not coned off were the tech, impound or pre-grid areas that many first timers were unaware of causing them to re-locate after beginning or finishing set-up. Seems to me you should be allowed to hold one space only for a buddy.

As I understood it the paddock marshall arrived to find the track had opened hours earlier.....
is a failure to communicate!"
