Putting it all in perspective - Jon Lewis was showing interest on the Facebook page.

This is an attractive car but it will be a tough one to market - minimal races - small fields - no TV package - no history/development - no ladder - prize money ???.

If it was somehow tied into European F3 it might make more sense to me, otherwise if you want to make a name for yourself just do the Rand series.

    Hey Jason,

With a 2.4l K24 Honda, don't you think they need a bit more HP to be attractive ?? 250-280 is pretty easy with that lump. and still good longevity..??

    Regards,
    Bill

Might as well put a turbo on it to make it more attractive. If Crawford builds a couple of dozen units and the series dissolves where will these cars end up? It fits the FA parameters pretty well if the gearbox can handle more power.

    JB,

Isn't it flat bottom ?? The 2.0 Honda in the Tatuus Formula Master was ECU'd from 250 to 280 hp in 2009, IIRC....That flat bottom car was several seconds faster than the F3's at that time......A. Rossi told me that was the best racecar he ever drove.....THAT would make a good FA car.......don't know about the xmsn on the Crawford car.

    Regards,
    Bill

Is this getting more interesting? If it could run in FA then it would be even better.

    Default FA

With no one building a NEW FA car, and Honda wanting to be involved in F1600-and rumor has it F2000 is being considered by Honda then why not FA, IMHO it will end up in FA asap to keep FA alive, $120k is about what some of the FA guys are spending for a
    Swift 016 correct?

    Hi Jay,

I guess it would have to be a "spec line" car like the PFM, or 016 to run in FA.

With flat bottom, smaller rubber, and 220 hp, I don't see how it would be competitive/ attractive..,..however, FA needs some new stuff if it's going to survive.

I believe Atlantic Creations can produce a new 014, or 016, but the FA engine table still is a challenge.

    Regards,
    Bill
