First weekend of the 2014 season for ASA/Pro AutoSports this weekend at Wild Horse Pass East Track. As of right now, there are 23 paid FF entrants, should be a great time.

The trailer's loaded up. Sounds like the paddock will be crowded but I'm sure we'll cope. I think the last time I drove the East track Marshall was still in his EuroSwift..

I posted in the Classifieds to sell some trailer ramps that are too heavy to be worth shipping. If anybody wants me to bring them to the event let me know.

That's awesome! Good luck to all you guys!... Wish, I lived closer
Locked and loaded to leave tomorrow morning for the Valley of the Sun!
Decided to bring other tires in case we can't make the Yokohama DOT tires work ... just kidding. We are bringing some drag race tires over for the Wild Horse Pass track prep machine that they will use for the drag strip.

Final count was 25 FFs on Saturday, most on the Toyo or Yokohama DOTs that for our championship classifies as EFF. There was a fair bit of attrition Saturday, with an unusual two major incidents of car-to-car contract, fortunately with no injuries (one being a double <thump, thump> tire-to-helmet contact that could have been serious without a HANS). Heroic paddock flails, though, repaired enough damage for (I believe) 18 of us to take the green for the final race on Sunday. Excluding the freakish Will Tait at the front and a few newbies in the rear, the whole field was covered by a 3-4 second gap.
By that time the disparate groups had come to know each other well enough (and the troublesome Sports Racers had taken themselves out) for very civil racing. Charlie Daniels and I were within a couple tenths of each other all weekend long and so became comfortable enough to go two-wide through the chicane late Sunday; our last two races were settled by gaps of a few feet at the line.
Dennis Collins brought his Merlyn, so I had to concede the prettiest-car trophy, but otherwise I can say with certainty that *I* had plenty of fun and so did most others.
On to February 15th!

What a great group of racers! Jen's & Lisa's hospitality is second to none. I am so glad that we came over and ran with you guys. I was bummed by the incidents that tore up some cars, but sometimes "stuff" happens.
I hope to come back and run more races with you guys!

P.S. You are spot on with your description of Will. I was more than impressed!
It definitely was a great time, and we enjoyed having the NM guys over

Great video Tim.
There was a lot of attrition Saturday. Here we are under yellow early in the race, I was leading us by the incident, hoping we all got by, and everyone was okay. I was a little confused, as I thought restarts are single file, you can see Lyle to my left and plenty of cars two wide......
