Default Knob (not the one on the cannister) Fox Shock

The IIRC rebound adjuster "know" (the one on the body of the shock by the "top" eye" is dead. No clicks.

Took the eye off and found that the small shaft inside the real shaft that normally acts like there is a spring behind it simple drops down into the bottom position. What could the cause be. Shock has gas pressure. Also pushing the shock into compression will cause the interior rod to pop up but will drop back down at the slightest touch.

Check the gas pressure. You may have to bump it up to 250 to 300 psi.

It is possible to stick the needle in the hole that it uses to meter the flow.

If that doesn't free the needle then rap the top of the shaft with a heavy, soft faced mallet. That should free the needle.

The final option will be to dissamble the shock and remove the jet in the center of the shaft and free the needle that way.
