The NEC Contingency Prizes, which total over $12,000. will be distributed more or less equally over the seven races with additional prizes to be awarded to the Champions at the end of the Series. Due to the small turnout at Summit Point NEC-1, some of the awards which were not "earned" there will be distributed to entrants in NEC-2 and NEC-3. The Contingency Prize Awards for both NEC-1 and NEC-2 are now being determined based on the final race results which we received via email from NY Region's Timing and Scoring Officials. A listing of awards will be posted and certificates will be distributed to the winners. Watch this space.

Corrected FINAL results from the 2nd round of the New England Challenge at Lime Rock - the preliminary results were inadvertantly posted above. The only difference is a correction to Bobby Kawash's finish position where the preliminary results incorrectly showed him a lap down.

The storyline for the NEC-2 event at Lime Rock along with awards distributions and current series standings are now available on the NESCCA website at:

    http://www.users.fast.net/~nescca/nechallenge.htm

For those who missed the event, it was a real barnburner -- with 25 cars on the starting grid, everyone had someone to race with for the entire 15 laps!

The Lime Rock regulars are REALLY quick, but very hospitable and gave this Lime Rock rookie all the advice he wanted. Even though it is an 8 hour tow for me, Lime Rock will become an annual stop on my race calendar.

Hey guys -- the next stop in the NEC series is at Pocono on June 21/22. I expect / hope to see just as many cars out for that event -- if we get enough cars out, we get our own race group -- mark your calendars for this one!
