Glad you're getting back in the saddle as an FB. I cant believe no one bought your car when they had the chance.
Do you have any block off plates for the valve cover?
I just installed a new valve cover last night - made 4 soft aluminum dowels in the lathe and pressed them in with some epoxy. A hammer and punch could not remove the ones in the old valve cover. They were in there good!

Ha Ha! How much? Those in the picture are stainless and are only 14" long given higher revs - but are stained by the fire. I'll try to clean them up. The engine already looks a hechuva lot better today.
I saw those stock headpipe mounts and thought that was a cut n' paste stock Ti header.

If the reed valves in this vintage are like the valves in the 04/05 motor its even easier than making plugs. Remove the reed valve plate, remove the screws holding down the reed valve limit plates, flip the limit plates over, and screw them back down. Doing this keeps the valves closed. Reinstall and done.

Ha Ha Russ! My grandfather made up that nickname when I was three, and it stuck in the family. And my wife ordered the graphics for the car - so that's what I got. Maybe that has something to do with dual personality.
