    Default DG300 Drawings

Anybody have the drawings for the rear of a Hewland DG300? A friend is trying to make a rear wing mount for an old F5000 car, but the sample he has is the crashed one, and the drawings on the Hewland web site doesn't have those dimensions.

    Default DG300

If I understand your question correctly. The standard DG300 rear cover was not made for mounting a wing.
If he has one that was, it was most likely made to a customers (vehicle manufacture) request.

From what I understood from what he told me, the Hewland drawings show all the mounting points, but have no dimensions.Scaling the drawing gives him dimensions that seem right, but you know how that can be.

If what you want are the stud measurements at the rear of the box, FT200 would be the same. I have had great response from Hewland Engineering in the UK for any tech questions, just go to the web site hewland.com or go straight to Colin at colin.r@hewland.com
One thing, if they give you a drawing could you post it for all of us too
    Thanks

Thanks, but that is what he has already and has scaled to try to get the stud layout.

The pdf could be imported to cad and scaled. I can create the dwg file and scale it to the given dimensions if that will get him started.

That's exactly what he did, BUT, from past experience with drawings not exactly representing the real thing ( and wasting a couple days work when the parts won't fit), it would be nice to get the real numbers.

Hopefully he's contacted Hewland directly by now.

    Default Measure it

Why not just take a rear cover and measure it? Just asking.

The car is in California, and he is in Indy. His arms aren't that long!

UPS it back and forth? Or have it measured in Calf and send them to Indy?

Haven't talked with him since Tuesday, but if he couldn't get the dimensions from Hewland, I expect that's what he's done.

I have the factory blueprint for the DG400. Does that help?

Haven't talked with him for a while, but I suspect that the job is long finished.
