Northeast FB Regional Series in 2014

A couple of us were discussing the potential of trying to run an FB Regional event series here in the Northeast next year. Not particularly formal... but just a bunch of us interested in coordinating some gatherings for the fun of it. Thompson, WGI, NJMP, LRP events come to mind - and perhaps NHMS if they fix the track surface. I can coordinate with the NARRC people if we have some interest in a more formal Regional only series.

Man now that's an offer! I am in Newport for the year until next June (Naval War College) but Monticello said it would cost me way more than I could afford to experience the track.. I ended up leaving the FE elsewhere while I'm in the Northeast.

A miniseries for FB would be great. Has anyone spoken to the owners of Thompson, it would be great if we could start the season on the new track.

I spoke with Sal from Philly Motorsports yesterday. We are working to get the Northeast FB guys to race more at the same events. We spoke of Thompson, Lime Rock, VIR, WGI, NJMP, possibly Summit, and perhaps as far as Mid-Ohio or Road Atlanta. We have not yet decided to to run Majors or not.

I believe NER has two Thompson events in 2014, and I am heading there for the Club Racing Board meeting this Saturday to check out the progress and paddock space. Jerry Rigoli (NER CRB chairman) and I also spoke on the phone a couple days ago, and I mentioned the FB miniseries - and he'll be at Thompson as well.

So this is looking feasible. We'll need to know who would care to join up.
