Default CFF at Grattan July 27 & 28 with Video

Despite spotty rain showers, temps in the 60s, and a small field, the CFF races at Grattan this past weekend were exciting. And the sun actually made an appearance for the Sunday afternoon race.

The Saturday race saw Phil Kingham battling a F500 for the overall win.

The Sunday morning qualifying "race" was a good battle between Phil and Dave Harmison.

And the Sunday afternoon race was another good battle between Phil and Dave. Dave led early but Phil got past him for the win.

The sealer that Sam put on parts of the track a couple of weeks ago didn't help lap times any, but it sure did stress car control skills.

You guys with CFF's sitting on the corner of your workshop sure did miss a heck of a race weekend. We will be putting on an encore performance at Mid Ohio August 10 and 11. Drag that CFF out in addition to your Swift/Piper, et.al. and get some more track time.

Edit: Just registered and looked at the schedule. If I wanted to race my CFF in the Pro1600 event it would be almost impossible with Group 8 qualifying back-to-back with the Pro1600 race on Sunday morning.
