    Default Runoffs!

    National Championship is Coming Soon!

Registration for the National Championship Runoffs is coming up in just 3 days!
    http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...160A8623CFF2DD

The online entry fee is $550 and you’ll want to get in early so you can reserve a paddock spot. The registration fee is fully refundable until September 3 so there is little risk in signing up early. There are currently 27 drivers that have earned an invitation with another six or seven drivers that are extremely close to qualifying. If you aren’t qualified yet, it’s still not too late to earn an invitation at any of the remaining national events:
    http://www.scca.com/clubracing/conte...d=44467&tag=51

If you aren’t sure if you’re in or not, refer to the current points standings: http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod/...ional-0716.pdf
Also, double-check with your division’s points keeper to see what you need to get qualified.

Most importantly, the National Championship Runoffs will also determine the US Formula 1000 Championship presented by Hoosier Racing Tires, Sunoco Race Fuels, George Dean Racing Engines, Jongbloed Racing Wheels, Hyperco, LS Motorsports, Geartronics, and Neo Sport Camera overall Champion! Lawrence Loshak has already won the US Formula 1000 Championship East but he is closely followed by Glenn Cooper and Alex Mayer, and West drivers Jose Gerardo and Lucian Pancea also have a shot at the overall championship. With double points available, the overall Championship could be won by a dark horse, if one of the favorites were to encounter trouble. It could come down to the very last lap!

    Schedule for the Runoffs:
    July 24- 9am –registration opens
August 23- midnight- entry fee increases to $750
September 3-midnight- last day for full refund
    September 16- 2:50 pm- Practice
    September 17- 2:50 pm- Qualifying 1
    September 18- 5:30 pm- Qualifying 2
    September 19- 10:40 am- Qualifying 3
September 20- 9:45 am- Championship Race!

    Prizes at the Season Finale
The prize fund is currently being determined so look for an upcoming announcement!

I think we need a general formula car discussion for the runoffs entry list.

The entry allowances should make this an interesting one. DaveW in FV?

    Default Former Runoffs Champs

The best I have is a 2nd in 2009 in DSR. But if I had one of those coveted 1st places I would stack the deck in another class.

Brian since your dad is the king/guru/innovator of F500 surely you have one of those laying around or a least a customer car to put you in the game for a duel effort. So go for it!

We do have a potentially very good f500 car in our shop. However it needs a rebuild and there is no time to make this happen before the Runoffs.

Registration is still open! The entry fee is $550 until midnight this Friday, August 23rd. After that, the entry goes up to $750 so get your entry in soon!

There are currently 23 drivers entered. If all drivers make it and take the green flag this race will break another record. Not only will it exceed the entries from 2012 (15), it will exceed the largest Formula 1000 field ever, which was 19 drivers at Circuit of the Americas in March of this year. 23 entries in Formula 1000 equals or exceeds all Formula classes except F500 and FV. In fact, it exceeds many of the other SCCA classes!
The class is showing some impressive growth that we hope to continue into 2014!

Don't forget, at midnight tonight the entry fee goes from $550 to $750. Even if you're on the fence or are still trying to get qualified, save yourself $200 and register now. You still have time later for a full refund if you can't make it.

    We're up to 24 entries:

Great line-up of entries. East meets West, wow, this is going to be very exciting indeed.

Any predictions for a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers?

Is Las Vegas making book on this race?

It would be great to see who, of these top quality drivers registered are predicted to take the podium.

I see Brandon Dixon in the line-up. Now this is getting very exciting.

I'm impressed with 45 FB drivers you have more than half attending the RunOffs.

A class still in its' infancy and more FBs have turned a wheel at a Major/National than BSpec, CSR, DSR, FE, GT3, STL, S2, T1, T2 and T3.
