I bought one of Motorsport Southwest's EIS foam seat kits and am quite pleased with the result. Here is a link to the post on my blog about the seat build.

    Thanks Troy.

We are also finding that if you are a serious karter or just want to be more comfortable, the kits work well in karts.

We can do a small kit for karts.

Ingredients? Wouldn't that be a trade secret...... I am ordering a kit, as I am tired of bead seats. They are a pain to do right.

You won't regret it, EIS foam seats are better in any way you care to compare them to bead. I was so happy with the end product of my first attempt - easy, fast and no vacuum bs.

Absolutely no disrespect intended Mr. Eye, but why should the SFI 45.2 foam's composition be of any real importance to us, other than for personal edification I guess? SFI, NASCAR, among others, I'm positively sure have tested the hell out of this material; I think we can take it on faith that this is the way forward in race car seating.

We have had about 25 people transition from bead seats to EIS in the past months since we have been offering these to club racers.

I have not heard one person say they would rather go back to bead seats.
