Default Oli Drain Plug story of the year!!!

I span off on the Sat at Shannonville and hit the kerb a bit(Felt it),raced Sun AM and in race 2 Car suddenly sounded different immediatly I looked at oil pressure gauge IT WAS AT ZERO!!hit ignition switch and coasted off track. The oil drain plug had been hit on the Saturday and been loosened!!!!(No damage to threads etc) so one race in PM then Sun racing it was coming loose all the time and fell out in last race.Engine is being rebuilt and getting G/Box fixed while Im at it as it is jumping out of 4th gear at times.Gotta be one of the weirdest set of coincindences to happen at the track, then I get home and while taking engine out I find the wire was broken off the OIL pressure warning light and was sitting just a fraction underneath the sender unit so it looked like it was still attached,I will be at BARC event to watch etc,so If anyone needs help I charge $40 an hour and a free dinner plus a six pack,Ive had offers from Libre and F1600 guys but I said no.So email me if you want a crew chief at shutupfrank@hotmail.com<img src="ima...img" />.Blimey!!I see on the schedule F1200 has "practice" on our own NO LIBRES!!! on June 22/23 BARC W/End(Dont tell the FV guys)

Not being a FV guy, I am wondering why it makes economic sense to hire a crew chief for $40/hr knowing that said chief is capable of neglecting to check tightness of essential threaded fasteners?

That $40/hr you make from being a pit crew you can bring that right over to our shop because your engine has been a nightmare to put back together. My dad was about ready to throw it out on the highway today and let the cars run over it!!!

    Maybe you should charge $100/hr!!!

Not being an FV guy Marty...you wouldn't understand, its all very techny..tekn...difficult!!!All my years of experience I should have known to check the thingy that screws into the whatsiname under the engine in an anticlockwise direction..or is it clockwise?Still!next time I will torque it to 90lbsthat will fix it.
