    Default Lola T 342

For sale is my Lola T 342. Serial No. H.U.143. The log books indicate their have been 6
owners . The car was raced on track events from July 22 1978 to May 28 1984. It was then purchased by Gary Allen and converted for Solo 2 Autocross and hill climbs.I purchased the car in May of 1996.
In early 1997 I completely dismantled the car, sandblasted the frame and had a few stress cracks rebraized .The car was reassembled using aircraft quality nuts and bolts, rewired completely and primed frame. The engine was found not to be in F.F. compliance so I resleved the block, purchased the proper pistons from Jay Ivey and had him prepare a new distributor.
The engine is F.F compliant. After all that work including repainting body, recovering seat in leather, installing a gear reduction starter and much more I purchased a Ralt RT5 and only ran the Lola for about one half a season. I put the car on blocks but in June of 2007 the fuel cell developed some leaks. I contacted Allen T Chou who provided me with the information to slosh coat inside of the bladder and seal the outside. I removed all the foam, installed and inspection plate and new foam.
I am attaching some photos. I have a lot of spares including 2 blocks, pistons and heads.
If you have any interest please contact my at johnrschultz98@gmail.com or 208 866-5555
I am asking 12,000.00 with no trailer

Tried to send an email but the address got bounced. Am I correct in understanding the car has been inactive since 2007?

It reads like it had a half season in 1998 or so, then the fuel cell developed a leak and got slosh-sealed in 2007. I am struck by the oh-so-vintage bend radius on the roll hoop, and no forward braces or dash hoop. It hasn't been on an SCCA road race track in a long time, that's for sure! Not that there's anything wrong with that....

Good eyes. Also means the hydraulics require full replacement. Brakes as well. And the gearbox will have been corroded internally by the oil. It's pretty nasty stuff when left to sit for years.

Sorry for the confusion . I have corrected my email address. The car has been in storage since mid 1997. At that time I drained the engine and transmission oil. Last week I replaced the oil and added gas and the car fired right up. I am in the process of flushing the brakes and clutch and will test them. I will be happy to answer any additional questions.
