    Default Mirror to Frame Bracket

    All,

Looking for the name and/or number of the bracket used to lash a mirror mount to a frame tube as shown in the attached image. Searching McMAster-Carr and dang if I can figure out what to call it so I can find it...

    Thanks,

Search for P clamp or loop clamp.

I use two P clamps per mirror, so it is only mounted to the frame tube. That has several advantages:

    • Bodywork vibration does not affect the mirror.
    • When I bump into a mirror, the P clamps bend, so I can just bend it back into place.
    • The mirrors are mounted higher, so it is easier to keep track of what's going on behind me.
    • I can slide them anywhere along the length of the tube.
    • The wake of the mirror mount does not affect airflow on the body.
