Default Hoosier Tire FST Rounds 1 & 2 - Milwaukee Mile

The first race weekend of The 2013 Hoosier Tire Formula First Championship Series is just over a month away. Rounds 1 & 2 will be held on June 1 & 2 at the famed Milwaukee Mile in West Allis, WI. The Milwaukee Region will be our sanction host for the event.

The event is a double Regional, so Round 1 is on Saturday and Round 2 on Sunday. Some special features will be a split start for FST and post race access to the Milwaukee Mile winners circle for our post race festivities/awards.

Milwaukee Region has not yet posted the entry link on motorsportreg.com, but as soon as they do, we will post it here and on the FFDA BBS.

It looks like we should have 8 or 9 FST's for the event, but that is just a guess.

If your planning to attend, please post so we can get a better idea.

    Default Update

OK, wheels are in motion. We can make things change much easier with our show of entries. We had (9) guys say they were coming, the best thing we can do (and need to do) is to get (9) or more cars registered ASAP.

Without this "show of hand" we are in trouble for this event.

At this point, Butch is the only guy registered. I'm submitting this post and going to register. I highly suggest that everyone going does the same right after reading this post.

I saw the lineup of cars and wasn't to pleased either. I've signed up too (albiet in a vee), but hopefully it'll bolster our joint cause.

Our pre season "who's going where" pole, only two more are left to enter:

Dr. Doug Sharp in his Jacer and Jared Smith (unsure of the car).

We are doing our part. I'm sure that news will be coming soon that the schedule has been corrected.

    Default Update Mk 4

Great news. Got a call from one of the event stewards. They are working the details on a change to add a 5th race group (FF, CFF, F5, FV and FST). Nothing official at this point, but wanted to let everyone know that progress is being made.

The bad part is that Bill had to do this twice. There are systemic reasons for this happening.

You guys are making me Jealous. Wish I was able to enter but it's gonna be a couple more months till car is ready. Hell if it was Midwest Division you could have all those classes running together and still only have 7 cars on track. LOL

    Default Update # 5

Got a Text from Dr. Doug. He is out of town and will register on Monday. Jared is waiting until his license is renewed and in his hand. At that point, he will register.

So, we told them 8 to 9 cars...... We bring 8 to 9 cars.

Nothing official yet on a schedule change, but I have good faith it is coming.

For what it's worth, I wouldn't argue one bit if they moved FF and CFF in with the wings and things group so you guys can have a more equal run group. I am currently registered in FF.

Default Reminder - Register for Hoosier Contingencies...

Our series sponsor Hoosier Racing Tire will again be providing a Tire Contingency program that will award a tire to 1st and 2nd place finishers as well as a random draw driver at each race.

As a reminder to be eligible you need to register for the 2013 Contingency program - even if you have registered in previous years.

go to http://www.hoosiertire.com/rrtire.htm to register and don't forget to bring redemption forms with you as you will need the signature of the chief scrutineer to claim the contingency.

Another suggestion. When you win a tire(s) they will ship directly to you and you are charged shipping. Since I usually have a truckload coming in here every couple weeks you can probably have it batched with those. Ship costs will probably be in the $8 to $10 range that way. (Assuming I bring to you at the track.) Coordinate with me.

    Default Update from - Bill

    All,

Just got off the phone with Bill, he asked me to pass this along to everyone.

He has confirmation that we will get a smaller group, I believe we will be Group 2 - Fords, 500s, FVs and FST. There will be a split start, if I remember it all correctly.

He's out of town and said he would try to post up anything I missed.

    Lets go racing boys
