    Default Where can I get these

    Gents;

    I asked once before, but have misplaced both the Apex link as well as the information. Where can I get these in 10-32?

    That would be easy to have a local machine shop make up. Or any hobbiest with a lathe.

    If those are blind rivnuts, McMaster Carr carries them in various sizes as well as MSC Supply and Grainger .. and many others. Common item.

    The facts that they're blind and that the thread comes all the way to the front face tells me they are not rivnuts.
    Are they meant to be welded in place?
    Maybe pressed into a softer material?
    Maybe they're traditional two-sided rivets and the back side is meant to be mushroomed after passing through a hole. Would be very worried about thread distortion in this last case.

    Yup...I've made lots of these things on my cheap-a$$ little Harbor Freight Tools lathe.

    We used them as spuds in the end caps of wings and flaps until we changed the way we make end caps, which now allows us to use nut plates.

    They look like weld nuts. Mcmaster carries them.

    They were embedded in the end caps with adhesive resin.

    Gents;

    They are flanged weld nuts to mount my coachwork. I am tired of Rivnuts rotating once set.
