Been pretty quite here in the FST area. I think it's mostly due to no major changes. Sure, new schedule for 2013, but since the rules went into the 2009 GCR, not one rule has changed. SCCA has added some general safety stuff, but the core rules have not been touched. Stability is certainly a good thing for a base line starter class.

The 2013 Hoosier FST season is slightly expanded this year with 12 rounds rather than the typical 10. It was purely down to track availability and that our guys all wanted to return to Mid-Ohio for the season ending weekend.

We will start the season on June 1 & 2 with the Milwaukee Region at the historic Milwaukee Mile. It's a great track and the Milwaukee Region people were extremely helpful in accomidating us with our event.

Next, off to Nelson Ledges on June 22 & 23 with Finger Lakes Region as our hosts. Nelson Ledges is expected to bring out 16 FST cars this year. It's always a big grid at NL.

Late July will be at Grattan Raceway, hosted by Western Michigan Region. Again, always a large grid and always a tough fight. Who doesn't like Grattan?

August 24 & 25 the FST series will be at Road America for the Chicago Region Kettle Moraine. Nothing better than a drafting "chess game" at 100+ MPH!

Finger Lakes Region will again host the FST series in 2013 at Watkins Glen for the "Fun One" on September 14 & 15. A great weekend, expected to be our largest grid of 2013. Can't go wrong with this weekend, run the GP course on Saturday and the NASCAR course on Sunday.

The season ender will be hosted by Ohio Valley Region at Mid-Ohio on October 5 & 6. The seasons competition has been so close over the past years that the championship is typically not decided until the Sunday race of the Last weekend.

Keep a watch for pre-race and post-race reports, videos and event pics here on Apexspeed.
