    This piece came with an Indy Lights car I bought yrs ago and I never figured out what the heck it was for. Any Ideas ?

    ...that it is muffler bearing alignment tool with the unobtainable attachment to check total runout by spinning the muffler against the two small wheels

    If you wrapped a chain around the two little wheels it might be a decent boat anchor.

    It's two bologna slicers without the main cutting wheels. Jus the 2 smaller guide wheels.

    All kidding aside... It's The ziffle plug alignment & retainer tool that allows the proper insertion of the krinkle pin thru the spark plug gears, thereby giving proper tension to the muffler belt, thereby keeping one under the noise levels mandated at some tracks....

    Yes , I'm glad I asked ! Been tripping over it for years and couldn't figure it out. Now I don't feel so bad and the responses so far are good for a laugh. Thanks guys ! and Happy Easter !

    I guess that there could be a remote chance that it might possibly be a very home-made ring & pinion setup jig, or perhaps a diff setup fixture. But it's probably a kaloozoid johackle.

    I'm pretty sure its a fixture that goes on your head where the two round things clamp over your ears.

    Then Steve Lathrop builds a tin foil hat over it so the martians cannot upload your brain.

    After a lengthy study of the pictures, I am sure that it is a wavelength calibrator for the flux capacitor. Note the green and red strips to keep from getting the wrong side of the wave.
