Great Surprise and it was great to hear Bob Varsha back at F1 !!! - heard that it might only be temp due to Indy Car conflict for Diffy - BUT that is GREAT while it lasts .... Come on Fox/NBC make it permanent !!!

Pretty sure that Bob made that decision. His contracts with Barret-Jackson overrode his Speed F1 contract last year on several occasions. This time it was Diffy with the conflict so Bob filled in. ... probably
I doubt anyone in their right mind would have broken up the Varsha/Hobbs/Machett team if it wasn't necessary.... except maybe Varsha's PRICE might have played a part?? (if so, that still means that Bob made the decision ).

... from an "unnamed person close to the source" was that Barrett Jackson/Speed~Fox contract requires Varsha and Speed/Fox would not let him out of his Fox contract - BUT it is "OK" to rent

I had dinner with Mr. Varsha a week ago at Sebring during the 12 hour race. Wonderful guy to talk with. I thought it was a bit funny he was only an hour and a half from St. Pete while Diffey was on the other side of the world, yet the two would swap positions for this week's races.
