Lets fundamentally change things in SCCA because people had problems with COTA. (regarding the addition of safety lights in cars)

That's exactly how this problem should be handled.

Yes, and while they're at it they might as well add the ability for race control to shut down our engines if there is an incidence on track, just like the rental fun-kart tracks do.
