The 2012 Vestal was already at the Runoffs,..............

With a more intense yellow, if that was possible.

This is what happens when Dennis and his camera cant make it out there---we miss everything. Same design as the earlier car or different?

Yes ....BUT actually there is more to come - Spoke to Reid at PRI and then on the phone - some good things are happening for him SO... let him disclose the details in due course. HOWEVER he should post pics of his new FF ride since he let it out of the bag !!!!

...BTW - did I miss it or is the day price for testing at COTA been published ?

this would be an event I'd like to see.
some trivia: Ed Earlandson & Mike Lewis raced FF together many moons ago
will Mike get his legs back in FF after running LMP1 and winning the runoff's 3 years in a row in GT-1?

raining here at Fontana BF Goodrich Super tour (AAA speedway) lets see what shakes out Sat. & Sun. with Bill K.- (Vestal 10F) ED E. (DB-6)- & Lewis (Vestal 09F)

    Thank you for the interest.

I didn't get a new car, still have the old 92 sitting in the basement. We're not speaking to each other at the moment, kind of taking a little break from one another. All I have done really since is take the front shock apart to find out when went wrong at the Runoffs. (Answer; one of the valve stack discs cracked....only at the Runoffs right?)

The car registered is owned by Carbir and is the factory car which will be used for development. This is something that has been in the works since after the Runoffs for me. I will be doing the testing of the new cars that will be debuting this year. Besides testing, I will be racing some select SCCA (FB) and Pro events (F1600/F2000) in different classes. Being that the F1600 series is Carbir's main focus this year, we had originally planned on debuting it at the first pro race at VIR, but the prospect of racing at the first COTA event made us change our plans. It will be a bit of a push, be we really want to run there. It should be a very exciting event.

We have a lot to do yet, besides getting the car on the ground and sorted we also need to set up the race trailer and support equipment.

I will be able to post some pictures in a couple of weeks. It looks to be a very well thought out car with some interesting design ideas. I am looking forward to giving it a proper shake down.

"Other things" EJ eluded to is to get an FB car out after the FF, and the FB should be a very cool car. I am really, really excited to get to drive that one. It is currently being built right now and should be debuted later this year. Ideally, an FC will be ready for the last few F2000 races of the year. If there is enough interest, and once rules are finalized, there are plans for an SR2 car as well.

    Again, thanks for the interest.

During the Q1 impound from hell at the Runoffs, we had A LOT of time to stand around and talk. Speaking with Dan Campbell, I asked him if it was the same car with a Honda, or if other things were different. He said it was very different, clean sheet, from the previous car. I think (I cant remember exactly) he said the front bulkhead design and the roll hoop were the same, other than that it is very much a different car than the previous one.
