    Default Driver fit

As far as fit goes at 6'4" it would all depend on the waist up build. There are 6 pedal positions for the entire assembly and lots more for moving each pedal. So I think if you are long legged it's doable. I know at 6'1" I can still use my bead seat and meet broomstick. At 6'4" you would likely use a 2pc seat with cheeks on the pan. That isn't the end of the world lots of guys do that now. My bead seat has an inch of foam at my cheeks and maybe trimming that would be sufficient. With this car you will not have legs that are black and blue after just Saturday like my Reynards were. Way more room than say a DB1.

Nardi: Can deliver the car as far as Dalton Georgia. Delivered my Atlantic there in March (?) of this year so my truck knows the way.

OK now it's the new year and time to sell. Like the car very much but I don't have a driver for the seat so it has to go!

Do you know if the wheels for a Carbir, are common/interchangeable with say, Van Diemen, or any other FC's?

    Thanks,

    Default Wheel question

Jim: Most of my wheels are 3pc Jongbloeds. To properly answer your question I would call Jongbloed. My answer is yes I think so but we run usually a 3.5" inner offset on the fronts. Had good luck with his service. If you buy the car I can supply all the wheels you would want for 2-3 cars. I have alot of stuff. I think every car has 3 sets not counting rain rims.

I think the wheels match Citation, Piper and Swift patterns. Swift I know for sure are the same.

This car was completely rebuilt in 2007. Run three weekends in 2008 and one weekend in 2009. Car has very little time on it.

    Default Brad

Brad: Yes it can stay in my shop here. I have a proper garage with a furnace and AC. You can even come work on it with my tools if you wish. Pour yourself a new seat here and anything else you want to do. It even has a 50" Plasma. All I have to do is move in the cot for ya.

Where do you get parts for a Carbir? Or should I say who built or builds the Carbir? What is the wheel pin spacing? Thanks.

    Default Carbir Website

Although Brian has contact info on his landing page, that's about all he has!

With these new Carbir models coming soon, I hope Brian can update/add to his site.

    Default Nardi reply

Nardi The wheels fit most other car makes out there as far as pin spacing goes. When are you coming to buy the car?? My truck knows the way to Florida especially since I just got back from there last Thurs night. Brian Utt @ Carbir has a ton of parts. Inventory is massive. About 20+ cars worth. More stuff then VD probably dreamed of in one place. Plus I have significant quantities.

    Default Web Site

    Bill
I had been working on the website on my own and not making any progress so last week I hired Mathisen media to get it up and running.
Now I just need to get some content to Monty so that he will have something to work with.

    Jim
If you still have the car I might be interested in buying it from you. This was our first pro FC and it has a lot of interesting history.

    Default Car significance

Aweful nice when the owner of the company thinks enough about your car to want it back. I'm flattered. Brian I imagine we will have interesting conversation(s) about what you have in store for me/or the car. It's a nice piece with lots of history as you say. Among other things it was Andy Lally's car I believe. Piece of history.

It would be fun to take it to Mido and place it near the front but I don't have the time available for either weekend. The car is a great value so I would expect it to be sold by Summit.

I have taken a deposit on the car and consider it no longer available. Happily it appears to be staying local and will appear eventually in the GLC.
