Default Need help to identify - KBS F440?

    Hi,

New guy here. I need help identifying an F440 so that I can track down replacement parts. I was told it was a KBS but am unsure which model/year it is. I was browsing this forum and found that Quadrini Racing has adopted these "orphans"? Does Quadrini Racing support replacement parts for this model?

    Best,
    Jack

Depending on what you need , I may have it. I have a ton of parts for those cars. PM me with a list and I will let you know what I have that you need.

    Thanks everyone.

This car was abused and left in the elements for at least 7 years at a now defunct gokart rental place. It went up for auction but when I saw it in person, it was really worn out. So I wanted to know if indeed I could get it at a good price, I could find replacement parts.

So first, I will contact the person who won the auction and see if he wants to sell.

Does anyone know what model it is? Mk5?

    Best,
    Jack

I'm not an expert, but it's hard to tell which one it is from the picture. (They all look alike with the bodywork in place.) If you can get a picture of the engine bay and rear suspension it would help.

But... the bottom line is YES you can get anything you might need to get it going again. I"ve got a couple of engines, pipes, clutch setups, etc. (even a spare Mk5 chassis.) Clint offered spare parts and Q has every suspension part ever made. Bearings and rod ends are common part numbers.

    Go for it!

    Thanks for all the responses.

I called the guy who now owns the vehicles (there were 2) and he wants $1500 for one. He probably paid under $550 each after all the auction fees.

It doesn't seem like there is a huge market on these around town so as an under-employed guy, I'm going to be patient on this one and see if the price drops.

If I eventually do get this car, I'll talk to you guys that have spare parts.

In the mean time, I'll going to see what other racing-related trouble I can get into.

The body work is a Mk 5. There were later evolutionary models - Mk 7, Mk 8 and Mk 8.5. See my PM to you.
