I can get my hands on a 48' and 53' for that trip (at least one possibly both). We can get 6 cars and gear on those two. From my house it's 2600 miles round trip, that's $2600 in gas for both trailers (2600 miles / 8 mpg X 2 trucks X $4 per gallon). Divided by 6 cars is $433. Not bad....

    John paul,

I think youve got the right idea.

Start gathering up drivers who could be in..

wait untill you have enough people aboard and then it triggers and makes it financially happen.

with enough time from now to 1st week of march alot of preparing and planning can happen to make it possible as well !!

    how awesome would that be..

thanks Nicholas, thats the plan. I know of at least 10 FB people that are going to COTA. We need you to get your West Coast gang together and get us another 10. We have plenty of time to make it happen. We're talking about COTA, 20 should be EZ.....

It still costs me about $700 in gas round trip to Atlanta from South Florida..Still, I plan on showing up at Sebring with all my stuff.

So far, I think I'd go with JP if he can pull it off... We'll see.

Gee, you think that was a hint?? You have 4 FB's in WI.... you need to get a convoy down to COTA.
There are 12 states with 3+ FB cars. We need to get people in these states communcating with each other to beg borrow and steal haulers so you can split costs and get down to COTA affordably

    Default Steal a trailer

I have to laugh at this as years ago, prior to my first open wheel experience was running my 2nd gen RX7 w/ HSR in the Prepared class.
I needed to get to Mid Ohio, but still had no trailer.

I had been renting F350 Duallys from Armada in Atlanta at a killer deal of $75/day, no mileage charge.

I show up at my buddies shop, as he told me I can use their open trailer.
It's a big ol' honkin affair w/ wood planks - waaaaaaaay more heavy duty than I needed, but...

I ask him about a spare wheel ass'y. and the story starts to unfold as to it not actually being his, but neighbor Essex Racing (ALMS, etc), and he's sure they wouldn't mind, just get your stuff loaded and head out.

I made the trip, no problems, parked the thing right back where it had been in a field, so while not exactly stolen, more of an "unauthorised useage" type deal!

The things we'll do to get our fix!

Default Wondering how the FB landscape has changed

I decided to check out last years list and start to revise it to be as current as possible for this up coming season. Please PM me any changes if you know: new drivers, drivers leaving class, change of manufacturers etc.
    thanks, JP

You can also add me to list. I just bought a '06 Elan DP04. I expect to be running some of the majors as well as regionals in the Northeast for 2014. Just had the maiden shake down run at Watkins Glen this weekend. Fun!

    Default FB drivers

Coop, from what I have read Dore has been to the Stohr store to buy a Stohr and will be driving a Stohr with the pedal to the floor and he will be making any pass when the door opens for his Stohr that I am sure he will adore. He shouldn't be bored with his Stohr because he has plenty of time to explore the Stohr when the pedal is to the floor.

So because Coops RFR took a poop at the Runoffs what the scoop on Coop.

The above is a result of being bored and look forward to meeting Dore in his Stohr.
