I always found it more productive to befriend and coach the bad atlantics out of the way rather than a public lynching.
But then again I always watched them from both ahead and behind.

dollars to donuts that motor blew all to hell the next time it was run if they didnt take it out. I lost track of over revs on downshifts and missed gears.
However it wasnt only him, there was also a FM and a CSR behind all those Vees on the worlds biggest dyno. thats damn hard to accomplish.

The elder Morgan makes a good point on public lynching.
I was'nt looking at him in my mirrors. I knew he was there, but I was looking ahead and had a car coming up ahead in the hairpin.
When I was beginning to race, I sought out drivers in all open wheels classes and introduced myself. I asked how I was doing and for advise. I even had two coaches. I was busy test day. New front wing nose etc. They werent close to our paddock or I might have had the opportunity to talk to him. Had fun running the car. I'll leave it at that.

Also, I'm not defending this guy, never met him, but if 90% of the people on this thread got into an Atlantic for the first time, you'd either be so far off the pace/spin so frequently that it would be quite humorous.
