FIR West Aaarrrgh!
Just finishing up my prep for next weekend's event yesterday and I pressure-tested the cooling system. Just to be thorough, even though there were no leaks two weeks ago on the track or last week when Jens ran the motor to check timing at his shop. Well out of nowhere I now have a big leak from the water pump.
A new one should arrive from Ivey on Monday, along with Ed's motor and Ken's clutch. Looks like Jens has a busy week ahead, aside from the normal prep on a bunch of other cars..

Well, Im not completely wrapped up yet so there is still time for me to find something I cant fix and must take to Jens!
Wow, that was quick turn around time on Ed's rebuild, what's it been, less than two weeks? Jay must not be really busy right now.

Ok, so the weekend's over and even those part of the considerable attrition had to admit it was a good time. Camren of course ran away from the rest of us (once Jens repaired the busted rear pushrod) but if you take away his times there was only about 4 seconds difference to cover the entire EFF field, with three distinct clusters of folks scrapping hard but clean all around the track. Lisa collected video so there's likely to be some entertaining stuff to view up on the Hammerhead website at some point.

Thank you sir. We had a lot of fun. Dave and I did inside/out on the last turn onto the straight for three laps in a row until he finally decided he should find a better place to pass.
