Default VDCA at Sebring

Can anyone comment on how much track time you can get at the VDCA Sebring event? I am considering going in the 2013 season. I have to pick my vacation for next year now.

    Default track time

Haven't actually run a VDCA event yet ( but have spectated ) and hoping to have my Lotus Europa repaired in time for their Savanah year end event. I can tell you, you will get more time than any SCCA event.

Please see reply below from VDCA's race director:

I do not monitor ApexSpeed. If you'd like to encourage him and/or others to write to me, that'd be fine.

The race we are sharing with SCCA at Sebring on Labor Day weekend has 2 sessions on Saturday and Sunday. For someone that wants a lot more time, they should plan on entering the track sponsored test day on Friday. I can provide more details to any who write or call.

    Default Track Time

The VDCA event at Sebring is different than the events the group has elsewhere, like VIR, Roebling, Road Atlanta and other tracks. VDCA joins the SCCA regional race at Sebring, with SCCA managing the schedule. SCCA vintage class has no groups, so everyone runs together. So, you can have a Lola T-70 (yes, it's happened), Porsche RSR and sports racers running with FV's and barely modified production cars. Closing speeds can be dramatic. Since it is a regular regional weekend for SCCA, track time is a little limited and the test day on Friday is Sebring's and pretty expensive for a day (around $250).
