    Default Rod end minimums ---

As you get nearer to the end, things that will be stressed begin looking smaller and more frail. And the car is getting bigger and heavier and longer and wider. And you see those wings that will be pressing everything...

We're a little confused because a number of suspension pieces we've acquired... some VD, others fabbed for VD... don't quite arrive at a standard in terms of rod end sizes. Some have oversized shanks, some don't, etc. etc.

So, to be sure we've not taken any bad cues... and also given that we're using all rod-ends (not staked sphericals) at all in-board a-arm attachment points (to give us some initial adjustment) -- what are the minimum recomended sizes for Aruroa rod ends in the following places:

Front upper inboard A-arm chassis attachment points (both front and rear control arms)? What size through-bolt?

Lower inboard A-Arm chassis attachment points (both front and rear control arms)? A larger through bolt -- but what size minimum?

    Same deal in the rear:

Rear upper inboard A-arm rod ends at chassis attachment points?

Rear lower inboard A-arm chassis attachment points?

And a note. Man, this car is becoming a tribal car. That is, we've gotten so much help from so many folks on this project... that, well, it's a tribal car. We appreciate the help tremendously.

    Same deal in the rear:

Rear upper inboard A-arm rod ends at chassis attachment points? Can vary depending on the layout, but in general 3/8 rod ends with 5/16 bolts

    Default Thanks DOCTOR Pare!

But did you know this, Doctor?

In 2006, the television show 60 Minutes claimed that when someone in Korowai society is convicted of being a khakhua (secret witch doctor) he or she is tried, and, if convicted, tortured, executed, and eaten. The brain is usually eaten immediately, while still warm.

    Seriously, thanks again, Richard.

Gads. What uncultured savages! Everybody knows they are much better chilled, accompanied by a nice Chablis!
