Considering going to the ARRC......who's going?
Jerry Hodges
I'd like to go. Is it an invitational?
Definitely not an invitational. They let me in every year. They even let Jim Morgan in a few years ago. A regional license and a racecar is all you need to be part of one of SCCA's best events of the year, at one of North America's greatest tracks. The Atlanta Region goes all out for the racers. A not to miss event.
Brandon is going to go through T1 flat. That alone is worth the price of admission.
just maybe not in a B, we shall see...
The ARRC is not the ARRC without the Coop (or at least without Ana ).
I can see Coop in the newest F600. Let's start a rumor.
I just don't want to see him in a CFC. Unless it's purple.
Between Downing, Jay N and you - my crewchief gets more love than I do!
It's a little unsettling...
Maybe you should learn to cook great Paddock meals...
On second thought... that might not help you.
We love you, because Ana shows up when you do.
You are slackin'. Where is the Runoffs chronicle?
whats the story, is there a rule that you can't run the ARRC in the same class that you ran the run off's in? what's that all about?
They did away with that rule last year I believe.
I ran FB @ Runoffs and ARRC last year, JRO Ran FB @ RO's, and FS @ ARRC last year.
My Gramma sez i'm loveable, so screw youse guys!
Trying to put a Runoffs Chronicle together, but waiting for the Thorazine to wear off and the Lithium to kick in - it was a bitch of a week...
Also I'm in charge of press for a buddy going to Philip Island, Australia w/ Historic motorcycle roadracing Team North America.
Think Trans Atlantic Match Races from the 80's.
If I pull this off, I'll be going on the trip, so I guess you could say "Priorities"...
GC
Area 81 Racing (2 cars) will be there. Who else?
As Coop said, that rule was rescinded last year - anyone with the equivalent of (at least) a Regional license can run any car.
What we ARE going to do this year, however, is enforce the ARRC version of the 120% rule. Anyone outside 120% of their class record during qualifying will need Chief Steward approval to race (and the CS has the authority to disregard the rule in case of inclement weather).

I believe that Jay's response is based on historical issues. There are NO restrictions for entry this year. ANYONE, in ANY car can enter (assuming the car is GCR legal and the driver is properly licensed). If you guys would like to have another shot at a "national championship", bring 'em on out
Registration should open on Sunday or Monday.
Steve, FV80
I can't find registration for this event. does anyone know where it can be found ?
JP - it's not open yet .. well.. actually it IS open, but not public. We are working on some minor details and expect it to be truly OPEN later today. We will be posting a link to registration and it will be on the MSR calendar as soon as we get it sorted out.
Steve, FV80
got it, thanks
FYI - registration is now OPEN for the ARRC

So the schedule reads:
Friday 1pm: 15 Minute Qualifying or 6-lap races Groups 1 thru 8 consecutively
Not really following, it is a qualifying session or a 6 lap race??
JP,
It's in the supps and schedule.
NOTE: For Friday afternoon sessions, Groups 3 and 6 will have 6-lap races unless a majority of the drivers request otherwise. All other groups will have 15-minute timed sessions unless a majority of the drivers request otherwise.
Steve
That's clear as mud. Without the sups in front of me (Blackberry hates pdfs), what you're saying is that they have no idea and it depends on the racers. F1000s can get more than 6 laps in 15 minutes, so for me it's a no brainer. I just want maximize my track time and know when to expect to be on the track.
Jon Lewis to show up?.... Looking forward to competing against the Coral Springs, FL FB entry! Good cheer to all !
If you're in FB count on a 15-minute second qualifying session. The V8 Stock Car guys are the ones that really want the 6-lap races (which also give you a much better chance at getting a clean lap if that's what you want and you're smart about when you go out) and in the past we left it up to each run group to "decide" what they wanted to do. For 2013 the default for all but Groups 3 & 6 is a 15-minute session unless a majority of the drivers file a written petition asking for a 6-lap race.
Again, if you're in an FB count on the 15-minute session.

Light turn out so far. Isn't the ARRC traditionally a big FB field? I guess everyone had their fill at the runoffs. That was a great turn out. Hopefully we can get a few more FB guys that are on the fence.
Was hoping for a good turnout. Brandon this is right in your back door.....come out and play. Coop, I know you're running the F600 for Novak.....but again it's right in your back door, so bring your Firman too. There are several cars within a reasonable tow......some that didn't go to the runoffs......come on guys this is supposed to be one of the most fun events of the year.

Will Coop be there? If so, what is he running?
Coop will be in a HRP LSR II (DSR) sponsored by Hurley Race Products. #12
Which run group is he in?
That would be group 8.
No, i don't know what color the car is.
Yes, i believe Ana will be there.
Thanks. The fact that neither Coop nor Devins bothered to post any of this information in this thread really reaffirms my decision to add both of them to my ignore list.
But, will Coop really be there just because he and Devins said he would be there?
Sometimes Coop seems to be there, but we all know he isn't. We know he really isn't there unless Josh and I say he is. And most the time we don't really know where Coop is, even if he is standing in front of us.
I think right now he's sitting at a bar with Waldo and Carmen Sandiego.
Of course the perfect segway into the age old question.... Where's Waldo?
