Runoffs Qualifying

First session just ended, Tim with a 2.21.4 ahead of Lew, then Ethan Shippard, Russ Ruedisueli, Scott and Reid and then Marc Blanc, Dave Livingston and John Benson. Honda should be happy with Tim's time, that's almost down to lap record speed and its only Q1.

Qualifying times of all the drivers are very impressive, most everyone already down under 2:30. I remember when that was a really fast time, not so many years ago, lol.

With the new format, Q2 is this afternoon and the race is Friday afternoon.

Thanks for the update Tom. Can you tell us who is running the small rear tires?

I cant Wes, because we are on "forced sabbatical" this year from the Runoffs. Hopefully someone else who is there will fill us in.

Those I can safely guess are on small rears would be Tim, Lew, Scott, Reid. I believe I heard that Russ was on small rears this year although in past years he has run wide rears. Dont know about Ethan.

Marc usually runs small rears, all the other Swifts I believe are wide rears, so that would be Dave Livingston, John Benson, Mike Scanlan and Jim Stiers. Bill Kephart and the yellow submarine run small rears.

I have also heard that more than a few drivers will run the race on the Hoosier Pro tires, but dont know for sure and will wait for someone else to confirm exactly who.
