**** The best time you turned (not finishing position) determined the starting grid for the Sunday AM Race.

    Race # 2 of 3 Sunday 11:20 AM

Interesting start of the race. Jon and Nick 1 & 2, John P and John F 3rd & 4th. The flag person decided to hold the start falg forever!! With my Hans device limiting my head tilt and the strater up in the tower I could barley see the flag and I am not sure if Jon and Nick could see the flag at all. Next thing I know I am being passed by MANY cars. I pulled right to get around Nick, and John P pulled left to not HIT Jon. Next lap they pull John P in for a stop & go for jumping the flag. ??? Tough call when a champioship is on the line. Something to discuss at the fall/winter meeting. John P recovered to finish 3rd, and Jon Van de Car had a plug wire come off.

    Thanks John

Just wanted to add that everyone was on the same page this weekend and all driving like professionals. I know we had a few spins including mine in turn 11 on the first lap Sunday afternoon ( I don't like looking at you guys that much ;-))I'll try to keep it in pointed the right way. Overall great weekend and great friends to race with!

See ya all soon and good luck to everyone that will be running at LRP next weekend

    Mark,
    A VERY Good point.
A big part of my decision to race FV with NER was the level of skill, professionalism and the total commitment to the fellow racer when it comes to racing safely. This is the closest in lap time the entire group has been and there was some very close racing in all 3 races.
Hey Bruce ... got that video of all 5 of us going up the hill side by side?

    John,

Thanks for posting the results. With regard to race 2, it was a few laps into the race and I was in the lead when they decided to black flag me and pull me into the pits. I was expecting that there was something hanging off my car when I stopped, then a second person walked up to the car sent me back out. I still had no idea what the deal was, but was not going to argue and took off. Of course I joined the race at the back of the field. After the race they told me that it was more that I was not in line than jumping the start as the reason for black flagging me. I was never not behind Jon before the flag dropped - or after - but I had moved over for the reason you mentioned by a bit over 1/2 a car width.

Mark and John, I could not agree more. The NE is a great group to run with - you can really trust your fellow drivers. Also splitting the start with the F5's made the starts go much more smoothly.

    John

    Default Outstanding year

I would like to thank all the racers and workers, that made this season a real Joy for me. My Protoform P-3 will go on sale at the end of the Narrc race at limerock I am going to sell the rolling chassis for anyone that wants to move up into a National competive chassis. This was Jim Kearney's car and with the mods done to it. Is really fast. Ever since I got it I have gone a little faster at every event. When I purchased the car , I had no idea what a great car I got. I have sat in many fv brands and never feel as comfortable As I do in this car. It inspires confidence. If someone wants the autowerks motor or the spare motor , all will be for sale. I will list the car after the limerock race. Again thanks all Peter Cheney fv #06 CAR MUST SELL FIRST BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE GOES

Just by chance it doesn't sell I will run a limited amt of races until it does. I know John F and Jon V don't want me to sell . It is a pleasure racing with you too. All of the ner guys are fair and safe I never feel at risk racing with any of them.
