correct. We get everything done in 4 sessions over three days. It is kind of nice since for the last two years I would have already been up there or on my way up there today.

    Default Yeah... NO!

Holy crap did we and everyone else in the "2nd Half" get hosed supremely with the "new and improved schedule".

I'm having to fly up this Sat to do the Sunday test day, which ends for us so late that I can't fly back to ATL until Monday morning, work M/T/W, fly back Thurs morn for the Fri 1st on track.

Hard to believe they couldn't figure out how to get a mid week test day for the "2nd Halfers" so we could do it in 4 days.

"Phuggin' Wetahdid" schedule to say the least. Coop No Likee...

    Default Testing the weekend before?

Glenn, would you like some cheese with that whine!?

Wow! Testing the weekend before? My test sessions begin on Friday. BTW, can I borrow your tires from your testing for my testing? Do I need headlights for our 5:40p, session?

My strategy is to get my competition over served Thursday night at the Mike Devin's/Level 5 Racing party extravaganza. oh just one more

See you on Wedensday and drive safely.

Glenn, why test? You've been there before. :-).

I'm really looking forward to seeing how everyone does during the event, and a close & exciting race.

GC, if you have some down time on Sunday, swing by the kart track and hang out. My boys will be racing and I'll be keeping a close eye on the big track.

I don't even see the spare "free" day for changing engines.

    Oh wait, DSR flashback. Nevermind.

Where's the knock on wood emoticon when you need one.

    Jake,

When are you planning on arriving to the track? I should be in mid morning on thursday.

    Default Spirit Award

Jake is wishing Murphy to show up and help him with winning the Spirit Award sponsored by Jerry at JDR Motorsports.

Well Murphy showed up for me yesterday. Like everyone I have been bustin A getting the car ready including a motor change for the first time in this new car I have. Well I ended up redoing much of that install because motor was not shimmed properly in the chassis etc etc.

So yester day I just needed to do a fresh alignment on the car. Well I noticed some water under the car out of the blue. This car came with new looking VENAIR Technosil Class A Silicon water hoses that looked new. I found water under the hose where is connects to motor and found a water drip under where is was hooked to radiator which was not touched during the motor change. Well I just tightened the hose clamps more and the leak increased. What happens is this cheap crap hose crumbles under the hose clamp and disintegrates. I ended spending three plus hours redoing it as I had no time to reorder better quality hose like Samco.

So if you have VENAIR blue silicon hoses, I suggest you toss it.

    See you Wednesday.

Michael, I can't resist posting that a cooling system pressure tester is a great tool. I always use mine after engine or cooling system work to find leaks while the car is still in he garage.

Agreed. The cheap one from Harbor Freight is great.

I think it is a good idea to use Oettiker clamps on any of the joints you don't need to disconnect to change an engine, and lined SS worm drive clamps on the rest.

"A host of aero changes" is a qualifier for testing. Then I should be there too. New goodies to try.

"Live right down the street" 232 miles and it's my home track!

It looks like the weather forecast has cleared up some. Although the forecast for Friday is now for fog. If it is anything like the fog that came up during the 2010 Cat National, there will be no on-track activity.
