I did a web search for 2010 28' Renegade Trailer and found the following.

    http://rvs.oodle.com/detail/2010-ren...-www-_-NA-_-NA

It is the same photo on Jon's Flickr post.

    And it is here.

It would be a terrible shame if someone signed his phone number up to receive a prayer call from the Jehovah's Witnesses (jw.org, for reference) at 3:00 AM.

    Default Interesting...........

The lawyers can chime in here, but I believe that Jon would be legally obligated to use any proceeds from the trailer sale (assuming that it actually belongs to him and wasn't a loaner from renegade) and any other equipment that belonged to the series to pay off the prize money obligations.

What kind of lien, if any, can those owed monies put on this sort of equipment?

I'm guessing he is pretty good at hiding behind the corporate veil. The guy has countless LLCs, so good luck putting one entity on the hook for the debts of another just because the same guy has an interest in both. I get the feeling he is pretty good at scamming by now.

Back to my old posing a few months ago......

Anyone in Florida who got burned financially from this guy can sue in Florida Small Claims court, recovery is up to $5000. Judgment is based on a preponderance of the evidence.

You don't need an attorney to file, just a process server or good friend to serve the summons on him.

Minimal costs to file the suit, and filing fees and court costs can be recovered in a favorable judgment to the petitioner.

Hard part is collecting the judgment against him.

    Some food for thought.

Nah, it only takes about 10 minutes out of my day to help make people aware of him and his scams. A little bit of google-fu and a phone call is all that it takes.

I've got some new ideas to contact over the next few days, so that should be fun.

I'm not really interested in trolling him, I really believe that it is possible to prevent him from ever doing business in motorsports again.

I think it is more important to let people know that I am not an aerodynamicist. White Knighting usually involves protecting other people where you don't have any business. That doesn't apply here. My personal dislike for Jon drives this.

Also, it appears that Jon has just blocked me from seeing any of his activity on facebook. I can't see his comments on other people's posts or his posts on the pirelli world challenge page. I can still see it if I look from another browser that I am not logged in on, so it isn't really stopping anything.

I have gotten some new ideas for people to contact from the Pirelli facebook page though.

If he makes it out to SoCal and somebody wants me to serve him I will volunteer my services. I am not a professional process server but I recently managed to serve somebody that really didn't want to be served and had been dodging others for awhile. I was able to serve him on my first attempt. It was a bit of a kick to serve that particular jack-hole.

If we all chip in $10 (or whatever we can afford) I have a great attorney down here that I know and trust that would sue the crap out of this joker on the racers behalf (and scca, sponsors etc). I can set it all up. I think with $2500 to start I can get him to do it. Probably won't get anything out of him since it doesn't look like he has anything but at least there would be a judgement and if he ever did make money it would be garnished. Also, it would be on offical record that he is scam artist con man.
    I'll start by pledging $100

JP if that idea gains traction, I'll donate to the cause.

We should tally what he owes everyone. Next time someone asks when he plans to pay, they should list the prize fund owed to everyone not individual amounts. That will really give others an idea how badly he screwed us.

Future revenue would be directed through another of his LLCs, as Josh already pointed out; he wouldn't do business again through the same company that controlled the F1k series, he's evidently not an amateur thief.

My comment was mostly in jest but I can see how it would be taken as serious. I'll be a good, law abiding citizen from now on.

I already had a car, but I spent well over $50K to upgrade my tow vehicle and trailer in preparation for the long hauls required by his scam. I'm not a crew member or friend of a friend, I'm a competitor. OBTW, he was happy to take my $3,500 in entries and owes me $4,250 in prize and tow funds, as well as two events that I paid for and did not receive. So you hit the nail on the head in regards to "distaste and animosity" towards Jon.

I have an MKT rear lift and can definitely identify that as one of Marty's. I wonder what he thinks about Jon selling the lifts for profit?

Jokes or real, if he winds up dead in a ditch for whatever reason, and there is discussion like that here on the forums, the FBI comes and knocks on MY door first. I don't need ApexSpeed or myself personally accountable for that sort of mess.

The secret is to post follow up messages to other people's posts that Jon Lewis has commented on. Everyone who has commented or "liked" that post gets an email with your text in it and Jon cannot delete the original post to make your comment go away.

You've met me. Do you really think that I am the brains behind our operation?

    My responsibilities are:
    1. Help drive the truck
    2. Help fasten belts
    3. Stand around and look pretty

That leaves lots of time for trolling. Also, I'm on travel for work this week.
