    Default NARRC Runoffs 2012

So we're a little less than a month away from the NARRC Runoffs at Lime Rock...wanted to post it up here and see who is planning on attending and running CF/FF? Hopefully we can have a nice CF/FF turnout like NJMP last weekend!

My new and improved motor is almost ready to go, so as long as everything goes as planned the next few weeks I'll be back in action.

    See you at the track,

    Will

Well, I think I'll begin with the Crossle/Fit, but any complications could result in the appearance of Frankenlola....
It, the T-540, with a Kent, and on Dunlops, will debut at the LRP Historics Labor Day weekend, and as long as all is well could be called into service on a moments notice.

I'll be signing up once I get my motor fired up and everything looks good. Got a little over a week before early registration closes. Just picked up the new baby from MWE this evening, so going to try and work all day Saturday and get it buttoned up and fired by night time, or worst case early next week.

    Default NARRC

My plan was to be there but as I got a blowout on the motorhome on the way home from Lime Rock and we final are busy at work again it is on the fence. The MG is still in the trailer hooked up to the motorhome sitting in my side yard and I don't see a time between now and the race when I will be able to get new tires. Oh and I have to prepare the Bowman for the race. I will try, but if I make it I will be a late entry towing with the pickup.

Go Will !!! You will be out front with Mike. When you pass me I hope you have tear offs, the oil mist from the blow-by from my very tired motor is so bad you will think you're passing a FV.

Haha, well, we have to make it through the left hander first The sycnhronized spin looked cool on camera, but would prefer not to do that again!

Agreed, it was a little rough coming up through the FV's on the second lap. My Z16 took quite a beating but kept going like the trooper it is. It will get next season off as my Euro-Swift should be ready to come out a play.

Sorry guys. Looks like my season is done for this year. I found bearing material in the oil filter. Car ran great at NJMP. Finished third in the races. I didn't think anything was wrong until I cut open the oil filter. Need a rebuild.

Sorry to hear Alan, at least you caught it now.

Fired the car up with the new motor for the first time, seems good. Just registered, see everyone there!

I was 4th on grid with Mike R. Jim MacNic up front and Glenn to my right. They got a good run on a clean green flag start. Will V and a F500 pulled my tired Ford to turn one. Clean through 2 and then Jim MacNic pulled up with a dead engine like a barn door going into 3. Mike and Glenn pulled way and I worked to pass Will and the F500 by lap 3. Then I drove around for a while, alone, cycling through the Fv's trying to screw up the leaders tight race. I saw by the leader board that Mike dropped out, so I drove around around some more trying not to put a crankshaft on the track. A couple a Fv spins and Glen lapping me and a last lap threat from a F500. A great way to finish the season, the car went into the trailer whole and running, a second place finish. A beer and a hot dog on the hilll watching the FF/wings and things, life is good. Mike tried to run the FF race after cleaning debris from fuel cell but the Honda was still not right.

Definitely a fun race! Jim dropped out right at the start and I got around AJ to take 3rd. Rand and Glenn ran away from us and me, AJ, and the two F500's had a nice battle until AJ got around and pulled away. I didn't make it past both of them so we had a constant battle going the whole race which was fun.

Overall, great weather and a nice weekend at the track. Also hope Joe Marcinski gets his car back together after his incident during Q2, we missed him out there for the race!
