At lantic Championship Series wraps up Aug 24-26 at Summit P

3 weeks from today the abbreviated three weekend-6 race Atlantic Championship Series will come to a close at West Virginias Summit Point Motorsports Park.
With 2 hours of dedicated single class track time on Friday for timed practice and qualifying preceding Saturday and Sundays brief morning warmups and immediately after lunch races the weekend will crown the inaugural Atlantic Championship Series Champion.
Championship trophies and awards will be presented at the Formula Race Promotions Banquet at Watkins Glen in October when the F2000 and F1600 series wrap up their respective seasons.
We are sharing the circuit with CCS Motorcycle Races and all should take advantage to spectate on the most dedicated of racers, road racing motorcyclists. Really quite something for the uninitiated to witness.

The initial posted schedule showed the 3rd Atlantic Town Hall meeting at 5PM.
The F2000 race is also scheduled for 5PM.
While I can't move the F2000 race start time I can move the meeting time.
With the Atlantic Race 1 set to be done by 1PM at the latest the Town Hall Meeting will be held at 2:45 with a one [1] hour time limit.
While we have had two meetings to date we seem no closer to a set of rules that does one of two things: either irritates and annoys everyone, or irritates and annoys no one.
Pretty easy to make one group happy while the others scream bloody murder and revolt.
And all this during an election year when everyones hair is on fire already........

John Dole scored a big win on Sunday. Starting out in the wet with slicks, he had to tip-toe around for almost half the race. As the track dried he moved forward as the early front runners blistered their rain tires.
The first laps of the race Tonis put on an amazing show, seemingly unaffected by the water.
