There is one particular sports racer class that is growing rapidly; unfortunately its in Europe. The CN class has pretty tightly controlled rules, but flexibility for manufacturers to spread their wings; kind of like the FC, I guess, so there are many cool interpretations. The VdeV series and Eurospeed series use the CN cars with Honda 2.0 liter engines that put out 255 HP and last a long time. In years past they have had Norma, Ligier, and Juno chassis', but this past year several more came in the the mix. Norma brought a new Carbon tub car and so did the Wolf chassis. Recently Tiga brought a new car that they are developing from a previous design and Tatuus brought in a brand new carbon tub car that set the pole on its first outing.
Now this week Norma announced a new CN coupe for 2014 that can be delivered with RWD or a new Audi eTron like system with motors at the front wheels using recovered power. Oreca also announced a new variant for 2013 that is a coupe as well.
Here are pictures of the Tatuus, Norma coupe and Oreca. Cool as hell.
