There is a great article in the Elmira Star Gazette this morning about Vee drivers Jonathon Weisheit, Roger Siebenaler, and Rick Shields.

    stargazette.com

Jonathon Weisheit won Race one. Polesitter Roger ran out of fuel too soon.

I wasn't paying attention to the V race, but a few shots to show the intensity.

    Default thanks for posting results

I also went to the gazette and read the entire article. It is nice to see a local paper pick up a story like that. "i am impressed" with the gazette. It was also very well put together. kudo's to the author. I am also glad to hear Rick Shields is ok sounds like a very bad crash and frighting too. This was also a testiment to a well build vee grats to VDF for making a safe car as well as fast. Pete Cheney #06 narrc

    Pete:

Rick's has bad luck this year! I heard he was taken out at VIR by another driver,
crashed out at Road America when his tie-rod mount broke and now at WGI...
Glad to hear he's okay and hopefully he can get this bad luck behind him before the Runoff's!......

Hehe.. For a moment there I was a bit worried - my car is also number 12, and my dog's name is Arnie! What was he doing at Watkins Glen driving my car without permission?!

Sounds like a great weekend, we need to get more of those articles on local papers! Awesome publicity for the class, well done everyone
