Send Pictures, I'm interested ...
The car has not been for sale on e-bay. Only here where the formula cars guys are. I have owned it since feb. 98. Never bent anything but an end plate on a wing. The engine is out of the chasis but it is all there. Have reciept from Taylor for transaxle. The car is mostly original, brass radiator, can style masters, etc..
I'm interested too. Where in CT are you? When's the last time the car raced in New England?
Please send some pictures... I can come look at it soon.
Rob
Excuse me?, I believe there is a line ... ... I'm on the pole ...
Yes! But I live nearby! He who provides an accepted offer first wins!
I will start showing the car Saturday night or Sunday. If it sells I will post. I am not there now to show it. The TenK price is firm so that should make things easier for prospective buyers to decide. I am trying to answer E-mails promptly but my job does not involve PC use so it is hard. I know this is short money for this chasis but as I said the engine is out and needs refresh. Car has nice billet bellcranks, I hate unsprung wieght almost as much as rotating mass.
Still waiting for the pictures ... and just how rusty is this thing? ...
Pictures? Me too. No response to EMails.
One of the greatest FCs ever. And to think some heretics nueter them and turn them into competitive FFs. The price is remarkable. I'm surprised there are not guys camped outside his house with cashier checks.
I figured the bidding would start at $10K.
I didn't jump on it because i couldn't scrape together $10K in two minutes.
But 2 minutes has passed....
10 days have passed... something makes me think... fishy.

All I wanted is some pictures ... ...
OK, I take it from people on high its a real car.
Even supposing it had been sitting 14 years, the hard parts should still be hard, the fiberglass parts should still be fiberglass. Might need fuel cell, belts, tires, caliper seals, etc, and about 240 hours of work. But if the bones are good...
I just figured that baby would already be somewhere, torn down, and getting blasted.
Wish he would have posted 3 days earlier when i was leaving LRP.
Ok, we don't allow auctions on cars, and what is happening here is one of the reasons why. You MUST post an asking price on everything in the Classifieds or the post will be deleted.
Best offer works both ways.
Hasn't the OP always read "ten grand or best offer?"
yup just in this case the OBO will be the higher offer. seems kosher to me.

The add seems fine to me but the response not so.
I have made a deal to sell the car. No one has of yet come in person.I did not post my location because my yard is not big enough for eveyone to camp with cashiers checks. The car has sat for 5 years. Last ran pocono double regional 2006 two second place finishes to a RF99. The car is going to the upper midwest, hopefully to let a young driver get a shot at the runoffs. I always dreamt of driving that car at Elkhart Lake, that dream will now be closer for the car at least. I apologize to the guys who did not get to buy this car, but as was stated it will need lots of work and $$ to get back out in the fray. It will need even more to be like Cole Morgan's pristine work of art. It is at the end of the day a recreational vehicle. I count myself as fortunate to have this as a hobby, and to be part of SCCA. I also would like to thank the administrators of Apex Speed for a great site and fellow members for a good community. I hope to return to the cockpit soon. NiCk
Here are a few I received, draw you own conclusions
What the hell is going on? Some people get photos and some don't?
None for me!!!
Soup? HA HA... Good one. I hope whoever bought it is not being cooked in it!
If this is going to be converted to FF, I'll take the pan and pump! But I need it in a week. In fact, since I live in CT, I might be interested in the entire engine and picking that up (and pay for it) before shipping the car to the new owner.

Both disappointed and relieved that Nick and I could not finalize a deal. However, for future reference I was able to sell the idea of a third FC in the garage to my wife as follows: " It is not another race car it is a work of art that just happens to move". Good luck Nick, hope you can return to the track in the future.
Smokin' deal for 10k. I thought the ad was a fake, or else I would have wired the cash sight unseen on the spot.
In this case it was 12K... still great a'course
So I have some leftover stuff to sell now that the car deposit is through. Almost all is visible in the above photos, thank you Rick. 2 Liter engine with pan, pump (right side mount) Good PMW head, only two valve jobs since it came from Ford Motorsport block has been sleeved $2000. Spare PMW prepped head only one valve job too many, good spare head but flattened out aroung 6K RPM on dyno. $600 Two sets of Technos one with three race Avon rains, one with sticker Hoosiers, tires are old but have been in the dark the whole time. $1000 per set. Two exhausts for 2 liter DB-6 one nice coated pipe, not Hi-tech but the next best thing. $400. other just OK $200. Two rear wings one original, one is a rain wing that came from that C car guru in Chatham NY $250 each. Also OEM 71 Pinto block, probably stuck. The car was so buried in vines it sat 100 yards from Bill West's driveway and he did not know it was there, or it would have been used for target practice. $300
